After a week of intense radio activity, today we say goodbye with the visit of David Pérez, Minister of Housing and Local Administration of the Community of Madrid. He is accompanied by the first deputy mayor of Colmenar Viejo, Carlos Blázquez, and our general manager, Pedro Sobrino.

The right to decent housing is just that, a right to which everyone should have access, but unfortunately this is not the case. If we also add the nuance of decent housing for people with disabilities, then we are almost talking about a utopia. That is why the words of the head of housing in the Community of Madrid open the door to a new horizon for which Envera has been fighting for many years.
David Perez has given us the best possible exclusive commenting that they are working on a project to provide shared apartments for people with disabilities, where they can develop an independent life, under the tutelage of professionals, throughout the Community of Madrid, and also here in Colmenar Viejo. This project is contemplated within the plan to build 25,000 low-rent homes, and as many more with the Social Housing Agency, where people with disabilities will have the opportunity to opt for them.
Given the little time we had, our reporters shot straight to the heart of the matter, so David Pérez also spoke to us about aid: "The best way to help people with disabilities is to collaborate with the associations that work with them and their families, who are the ones who know best the needs that exist". We could not agree more.
David Perez, politician, writer, journalist, with barely a month in his new position, is clear about where to look, where to devote the greatest efforts, and without neglecting other aspects also very important in the development of the 179 municipalities that make up the Community of Madrid, looks from a very broad perspective, positive and full of challenges, the confidence that citizens have placed in people like him.
