On June 7, we were visited by several representatives and managers of European organizations dedicated to inclusive business, specifically to the support of employment for people with disabilities.
The delegation was composed of Ángel Luis González and Almudena Fernández-Golfín, president and manager, respectively, of the National Confederation of Special Employment Centers (CONACEE); Francisco Olavarría, manager of the Spanish Council for the Defense of Persons with Disabilities (CEDDD); and Franz Wolfmayr, of the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD).
Ángel Luis González and Franz Wolfmayr took the floor and explained the work carried out at European and national level by companies dedicated to labor inclusion.
More than 18,000 organizations in 33 countries are represented, whose sole purpose is to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to find employment and perform in a fully professional manner.
These are companies that work to support people in all stages of life; from special schools and kindergartens to support units, occupational centers or residences.
Ángel Luis tells us that CONACEE represents 28,000 workers from different sectors, such as social care services, support services in special employment centers, gardening, cleaning, recycling...
We talk about aid in Europe, its application and the differences between countries. Our guests point out that, compared to other countries, in Spain we stand out for the solidarity with disability from the same society.
An exchange and mutual learning, where Envera has much to contribute in everything that means supporting diversity, working with people with intellectual disabilities and the experience of more than 40 years dedicated to it. We emphasize the enormous importance of continuing to develop ideas together with CONACEE and European counterpart organizations.
