Last Saturday 25th, employees of the company Roth and the non-profit organization Special Olympics Madrid, played different basketball games at the Pabellón envera in Colmenar Viejo.
At the meeting, employees and athletes with intellectual disabilities were combined to form different teams. Throughout the morning, fun and exciting matches were played in a round-robin system.
Special Olympics Spain is a platform for the promotion and encouragement of sports for people with intellectual disabilities with the aim of improving their quality of life. It currently has nearly 16,000 athletes and 4,500 coaches and volunteers who participate in 16 sports modalities.
It is intended that people with intellectual disabilities can learn, enjoy and benefit from participation in individual and team sports.
Once again, sport, hand in hand with Special Olympics, the company and our group of athletes, have joined forces to propose actions that normalize inclusion and belonging.
