Envera, through its Solidarity Recycling Center, has donated 50,000 FFP2 masks to be used by those affected, volunteers and emergency services that are working at ground zero of the catastrophe caused by the DANA in Valencia, which has so far left more than 200 dead and 89 missing.
The masks have been prepared and palletized by professionals with disabilities from Envera's Transport and Logistics Service, who have also been in charge of their transfer to the SEPLA - Ayuda Foundation, an entity that will also send to Valencia a hundred pressure washers, as many bilge pumps, hoses, appliqués and electric extension cables.
Both the president of the Foundation, Vicente Alonso Fogué, and the general manager of Envera, Enrique Grande, were present at the delivery of the material in Madrid prior to its shipment on Wednesday, in coordination with the Emergency Logistics Center.
Grande has conveyed "all our support to the victims of this terrible tragedy as well as recognition to all the emergency services that are doing their utmost to support those who need it most".
For his part, Fogué confirmed that the masks "are going to leave in a trailer to Valencia because they are absolutely necessary. We have spoken with the Emergency Logistics Center and they are looking forward to their arrival".
As indicated by SEPLA, the transport has been coordinated by DANA WARRIORS and upon arrival at destination it will be escorted by a vehicle provided by the Maritime Customs Service of Valencia.
Envera has also launched a fundraising campaign among its employees, partners and collaborators to send, together with Iberia and SEPLA - Ayuda, financial support to those affected by the floods. In this sense, the airline has committed to double the amount raised by both social entities.
