The Corresponsables Foundation, a benchmark in corporate social responsibility communication, has recognized Envera on the cover of its Corresponsables 2024 Yearbook for its social work in accompanying people with disabilities and its impact on corporate sustainability through social responsibility, the development of ESG criteria and its contribution to 11 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.
The Yearbook was presented by Marcos González, president and founder of Corresponsables, and collected by Enrique Grande, CEO of Envera, during the closing ceremony of its conference 'The evolution and trends of sustainability and responsible communication', which took place this Thursday in the auditorium of IESE in Madrid and was attended by more than 700 people and almost 200,000 people in streaming.
Together with Envera, Corresponsables has also recognized companies, organizations and entities that are benchmarks in their sector for the sustainability practices they carry out, such as ENAIRE, Ineco, Grupo Viajes El Corte Inglés, Iberdrola and Leroy Merlin, among other large organizations with which Envera also collaborates on a regular basis to develop social projects, create jobs for people with disabilities and corporate social volunteering, among other initiatives.
STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF SUSTAINABILITY
The Jornada de Corresponsables hosted four forums in which innovative best practices were presented and topics related to the importance of sustainability were discussed.
As SofĂa MartĂn, Director of Communications at FundaciĂłn SERES, pointed out, "sustainability indicators will be on a par with financial indicators and will generate confidence if we communicate them in the right way".
Another speaker was Carlos Arango, CEO of the EY Foundation and member of DIRSE's Board of Directors, who pointed out the need for "society to understand the importance of sustainability; it is pure survival and economic growth for companies".
AT THE SIDE OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TO TAKE THEIR PLACE IN THE WORLD WITH DIGNITY
Envera is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1977 as an initiative of Iberia employees, mothers and fathers of people with intellectual disabilities. Since then, Envera accompanies these people so that they can take their place in the world with dignity through their social and labor inclusion.
More than 46 years later, today Envera is an organization open to the whole of society, serving 5,000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families each year and providing stable employment for more than 850 people, thanks to the joint work it carries out with more than 400 organizations from the business and public sectors that support its work.
