"Together we are stronger" on Radio Terrícola. Program 57...and that's it.

Madrid | June 5, 2020

Radio Terrícola has become today a balcony to launch applause of gratitude to the four winds. A clapping of hands -and renewed encouragement- to say goodbye to the broadcasts from the confinement, and to each guest, for their social commitment. Clapping was the best way to embrace each other in these times without kisses. The pandemic has taken away physical contact, but we will always have applause... And music, the main ingredient of Radio Terrícola, which today had the most brilliant violinist.

JOSE ANTONIO QUINTERO, president and one of the founding fathers of Envera, opened the broadcast wishing another 43 years of existence. Virginia presented him as "the mirror of overcoming that we want to look at", after passing the Coronavirus. "Your blood is a treasure," she said. Now she hopes that Adela will pass the test before going to the nursing home. In the balance of these days she is left with the response of all the staff of Envera, with their great dedication and eagerness to overcome. A remembrance of those who have left us gave way to the first applause, "which has made us famous all over the world", according to our president.

JUAN CIERCO, corporate director of Iberia, our parent company, began by saying that although Iberia has stopped flying, solidarity has not ceased. And he remembered how many of the company's pilots have risked their lives flying to repatriate Spaniards or bring back millions of masks, as was the last flight of "Titón", after 41 years with Iberia. They have also collaborated supporting hospitals such as Ifema or donating material such as blankets and toiletry bags. Juan is always by the side of the men and women of Envera, and Iberia is fortunate to have this great professional committed to solidarity and social responsibility. We have said goodbye to him, wishing with all our hearts that Iberia will finally take flight. Bravo, Cierco!

ANTONIO MARTÍN, MICHAEL, protagonist of Michael's FlightThe multifaceted artist and announcer of Radio Terrícola, has allowed himself the luxury of intervening while he was sunbathing so richly. It's understandable that, from such an advantageous position, when Virginia called him a crack, the person being complimented replied: "it's true". While he and his colleagues wait for Leonor to return, he continues to pay attention to the start of phase 2, which is why he always has the radio on. We depend on his information.

DAVID FERRERO, reported on the Environmental Commitment Award Villa de Colmenar, who had just received Amor de Huerta en Huerta Envera from the Mayor of Colmenar Viejo, giving way to its promoter, BEATRIZ GARCÍA, very excited about the award. ADRIÁN LLOPIS has recalled that what began as a sandbox, "zone of warlike conflict", has ended up being an orchard. That is why the award will be celebrated with the rich strawberries that are grown there. Finally, back to the well-deserved applause.

JORGE GARCÍA, mayor of Colmenar Viejo, has encouraged everyone to try the garden products and to continue responsibly with the social distance, masks and frequent hand washing. Although he is sure that we will continue like this, because "Envera is an example". Before applauding him, David thanked him for all the help received from his municipality in this health crisis, which has been so much. Thank you, dear mayor.

ISABEL ALONSO, Coca-Cola's digital volunteer at Envera, came up with a new riddle. But first she enlightened us by going back to Castile in 1240 with the Mester de Juglaría and the book of Apolonio. He told us that King Antiochus proposed riddles to his daughter's suitors before granting her his hand. And then he made it easy for us to find someone who never leaves his house... Who could it be?
ROSARIO VIANCI, student of Envera in Gran Canaria with the PIIIL Envera Administration 2019 (Professional Certificate of Administrative Management Activities) is delighted with the course, to which her restless character and her self-taught eagerness to expand her knowledge led her. The certificate will make it easier for her to get a job and so she highly recommends it. Another example of applauded effort.

ARA MALIKIAN, universal violinist, has struck a chord, this time with her voice. He has done it to tell us that he has lived the confinement with concern for the most vulnerable, to tell us how he has valued the closeness of his loved ones or to admit that he has realized that we are going through a hellish rhythm, to the point of saying: "I hope we come out stronger and wiser". And this is said by someone like him, forced to flee from a war when he was only 14 years old, as it is told in the documentary filmed by his wife "Ara Malikian, a life between the ropes". That's why he knows what he says: "you have to come out of any situation better. Everything is a learning process and you have to have the dream of improving, one of the main things of being human". As an example, he cites those people who lost everything in Lebanon and rebuilt themselves again and again. As an oracle, he sees that with illusion, hope and optimism we can once again enjoy life, the planet and our friends. Three fundamental axes, without a doubt. With his great music he has made art and culture accessible, which should be for everyone: "I don't like to call classical music cult music, there is no minor or major art. Art makes us happy and we all need it". Words that sounded like celestial music, and that is why the applause was stereophonic. And also because he has committed to come to Radio Terrícola's studio, "to enjoy his magic", in Adrian's words. A stellar figure for a high-flying farewell.

LETICIA HERNÁNDEZ, a professional at the Envera Occupational Center, who has been keeping an eye on the challenges and tributes, is more than satisfied with the general participation: "The important thing now is not to stop and keep going" because the families "have given me a gigantic lesson". And they will be able to enjoy "in situ" the folders full of the activities carried out during the confinement, in the super party that she proposes, when everything is safe, to recognize their effort. At last he has let out a "see you on the radio!" as a rallying cry. The strength to conquer the desired normality.

AMADEO MELER, Envera's sports director, after asking Adrian to dance with an antediluvian "Do you study or do you work?" (which the courted man suggested he change to "Are you a nini or are you on Erte?"), became serious to remind us that the values of sport are the values of life. That's why we must go together to be better: "that politicians go together, companies do not earn so much, workers have more sense of belonging to the company ... so that society is stronger after this bad dream, which is real". Speaking of the 30 years of sport at Envera, he acknowledged that "we have contributed to make society fairer and now disability has gained recognition". His speech ended in an imaginary discotheque where dance music was playing (did Adrian give him the dance?) Maybe so, because an excited Amadeo said "it has been a very nice program". What a great friend and soulmate he is.

FELIPE RICO, humorist and also a friend, has brought his saddlebags full of jokes, to the cry of "what's up then, madrileños?" Here's one example: a drunk approaches the bar, where there are two twin waiters, and asks for a gin and tonic, one of them to calm him down says: calm down, he's not drunk, we're twins". To which the friend replied: "All four of us? He said goodbye with a song dedicated to Radio Terrícola and a standing ovation from the audience.

JOSEMI PARRA, chef at Alma Cheli, could only come up with a secret cocktail for the final toast. A good vermouth, whose glass is previously sprinkled with gin and topped with a few drops of Campari, orange peel for garnish and an olive inside. And a toast to the future in general and to Radio Terrícola in particular. As it could not be otherwise, he left with the warmth of the clapping of hands. That's all there was to it.

At the end, after discovering that it was the snail who was hiding in the riddle, VIRGINIA RÓDENAS, passed the baton highlighting the pride she felt, ADRIAN LLOPIS, has emotionally picked up the baton, DAVID FERRERO has emphasized the thanks galore and JESÚS DE FRUTOS has thrown acknowledgements left and right (especially for Carmen, who has done so much and with so much dedication to shape these unforgettable reviews). So, a final round of applause to all the earthlings.

Antagonistic feelings invade us today with this last installment of the special "Together we are stronger". Sadness because it ends the daily meeting with a lot of friends who have supported us in very critical moments, but also the joy of returning to our own in classrooms, residences, workplaces ... a world in which we breathe daily all the energy needed to be happy. Farewell.
