Ten people with intellectual disabilities will participate, throughout 2024, in a project developed by Envera's Labor Insertion Service to receive training, guidance and counseling that will enable them to improve their opportunities and have the necessary support to get a job.
This initiative is subsidized by the Employment Agency of the Madrid City Council and managed by Plena Inclusión Madrid with the aim of developing activities to improve the employability of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
As Laura Sanz, Envera's Labor Insertion Technician, points out, "the basis of the project lies in the methodology of personalized employment and supported employment, which is more individualized, as it explores competencies, skills and interests with the aim of finding a job opportunity tailored and adapted to each person".
Over the next few months, several training activities will be carried out to promote active job search and enhance the job skills of the participants.
