Our intrepid reporters from the Envera Occupational Center in Gran Canaria have interviewed María Cortezo, godmother of the Click Envera x Ellas: access the world of worka project that allows us to cut the digital gap of twenty women with intellectual disabilities or mental illness in order to increase their chances of accessing the labor market, and that has been selected by Fundación MAPFRE Canarias through its Program of Aid to Social Projects.
María was accompanied by Laura Carvias, Fundación MAPFRE Canarias Foundation Activity technician, who visited our Delegation to learn first hand about the Project.
Thanks to the Foundation, with this initiative, which has had María's support from the beginning, Envera is training women with disabilities in digital and technological skills in our Tenerife and Gran Canaria offices, promoting their inclusion, autonomy and independence through modules on the latest technologies in communication, management of the digital world and basic procedures in auxiliary training services.
During the interview, we got to know our godmother a little more closely, who told us about her professional career as a human resources technician at MAPFRE.
We were delighted to share our values with Maria, knowing that we all contribute to society and are important, which defines Envera's motto very well: "We can all be the best at something".

Thank you very much, María and Laura, for helping us to continue breaking down mountains of prejudice, especially promoting the inclusion of women with intellectual disabilities or mental illness, and for trusting in the social work that we have been carrying out at Envera since 1977 so that people with disabilities can take their place in the world with dignity.
