Francisco Celso tells how, before coming to Envera, a non-profit organization that works for the social and labor insertion of people with disabilities, he had tried unsuccessfully to find a job. Even after completing several training courses, Francisco, at 58 years old and with a disability behind him, was rejected several times in selection processes.

At the beginning of 2017, referred by FSC Inserta, an entity specialized in labor insertion, Francisco received a call from Envera to carry out the Seed Project training in Auxiliary Activities in Agriculture and Auxiliary Activities in Nurseries, Gardens and Garden Centers.

Although he had no expectations of being selected for the Seed Project, Francisco found in Envera a new opportunity to prove that we can all be the best at something. "Soon after I started, I realized that Envera was very different from what I had done before. The most important thing: the great human quality," says Francisco.

During the internship Francisco demonstrated his working skills and, after completing both certificates of professionalism along with his 15 colleagues, he managed to find a job at InterjardĂn, a company with which Envera has an agreement for job training. His first job after seven years of unemployment.

In addition to Francisco's success in the Seed Project, seven other students from this program have also obtained jobs: Carlos Alberto, Francisco Javier, Domingo, Jonay, Jorge Antonio, Juan RamĂłn and Carlos Crisanto.

Envera emphasizes that all of them "have proven to be good students and will undoubtedly become great workers because they have the necessary training and support".

Once again this year, Envera has launched several training projects for employment in the Canary Islands. The Tenerife delegation is developing the Savia Project of Integrated Itineraries of Labor Insertion (PIIIL) to obtain the Certificate of Professionalism in Garden Installation and Maintenance, and the Mixed Program of Training in Alternation with Employment, Agro Envera, to obtain the Certificate of Professionalism in Auxiliary Activities in Agriculture.

In Las Palmas, the Agrodiversidad Envera Project is also being developed to enable unemployed young people with disabilities to obtain the Certificate of Professionalism in Auxiliary Agricultural Activities; the Comunica Envera Project, PIIIL to obtain the Certificate in Administrative and Customer Service; and the PIIIL Bio Envera, which offers two certificates, one for agriculture and the other for gardening.

In addition, Envera has agreements with companies committed to the labor inclusion of people with disabilities that allow students to put into practice the contents learned: Interjardín, Zona Verde, Plantas Floravalles, Inserhotel - Hotel Botánico, Hardisson Jardinería and Picconia Gest, among others.
