Envera's Board of Directors appoints Enrique Grande as new General Manager as of September 1

Madrid | July 9, 2020

The Board of Directors of Envera - Asociación de Empleados de Iberia Padres de Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual, the highest governing body of this social organization, has unanimously decided to appoint Enrique Grande, until now a member of the Group's Board of Directors, as its new CEO. With this appointment, which will be effective as of September 1, Pedro Sobrino, who joined Envera after leaving Iberia, takes over, at his own request, and who has spent more than nine years at the helm of the organization's management with the aim of concluding the transformation process he initiated and making the institution a social, professional and sustainable benchmark.

Enrique Grande Pardo is an aeronautical engineer and for more than 27 years his professional career has been linked to this sector, working for Boeing, Iberia, IAG, the State Aviation Safety Agency and as a professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. In 2016 he joined Prosegur, where until now he has been Global Director of Media Management, having under his competence the areas of Procurement, Real Estate, Fleet and Service Management worldwide. Throughout this vital and professional journey, Grande has always been by Envera's side since he joined Iberia in 1990, becoming more involved in recent times as a member of its board of directors.

"I come to the general management of Envera -explains Enrique Grande- with the enormous illusion of contributing the knowledge of a whole professional life to improve the results of the group in such difficult times due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, to work side by side with the professionals that integrate it to advance together in the strategic objectives and listen to the beneficiaries of the services and their families to create employment and provide more and better assistance. In short, to fulfill the mission with which the founding fathers and mothers of Envera, all of them Iberia colleagues, created this great social work that today is a model of care and employment for people with intellectual disabilities within and beyond our borders".

Envera's Board of Directors has also decided to reduce the number of members of its Board of Directors in order to make this governing body more agile. In this way, Juan Arrese, who also served as secretary of the board, and Fernando García Abasolo, whom the Board has thanked for their contributions and their disinterested work (they are not remunerated functions) and with whom it hopes to continue counting on. The president and vice-president of the Association, José Antonio Quintero and Antonio Ramos, José Luis Quirós, Pedro Sobrino, who is thus joined to the organization, and Enrique Grande himself, remain as board members.
