The Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, presided over the presentation this morning of the Envera 2022 Solidarity Calendar, which features the cover with people with intellectual disabilities from Envera and the president of Madrid Foro Empresarial. The event took place at the headquarters of the Madrid Business Confederation (CEIM) and is part of the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is celebrated tomorrow.

The 'Envera Punto de Inclusión' project has been awarded at the CSR and Global Sustainability Week Congress as one of the four award-winning initiatives among the eighty that have been presented at the thirteenth edition of this benchmark event on corporate social responsibility. Envera was also the second most voted initiative (more than 650 likes) by followers on social networks.

As caregivers we assist those who cannot care for themselves. Becoming a caregiver is something that many people do not consider as a career; for some people it is clearly a vocation, for others it is simply a job opportunity and a chance to train in it. In both cases, it is clear that once you start in the world of caregiving you understand its importance, how nice it is to help and the satisfaction it provides.

Envera's Early Intervention Service has a climbing wall financed by the Ibercaja Foundation, which benefits the more than 200 children who attend this reference center for children with disabilities or developmental disorders in the Community of Madrid.

FLC officials have seen firsthand the work done at Envera by their trainees from the Esfuerza-T Pintando and Esfuérzate Construyendo (Painting and Building) training programs developed by the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción (Construction Labor Foundation).

From the end of October until February 2022, the cooking course organized by Envera in the Community of Madrid, which is supported by the ONCE Foundation and the European Union, will be held and, in addition to being free of charge for students, each of them will receive a scholarship of 300 euros. This training is aimed at young people with intellectual disabilities between 16 and 30 years old, job seekers and registered in the Youth Guarantee System.

Envera maintains its commitment to help the most vulnerable people through networking with various social organizations. Volunteers for Africa, Caritas or Messengers of Peace are some of the latest organizations to which Envera has donated food and basic necessities thanks to the close collaboration of Iberia, MAPOMA and the SEPLA Ayuda Foundation.

The Envera Guardianship Foundation has organized an informative session on the new Law 8/2021 reforming the legislation for the support of people with disabilities in the exercise of their legal capacity, aimed at family members of Envera's beneficiaries and partners.
