"Michael's Flight", protagonist in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Envera organized a cineforum on the documentary short film El vuelo de Michael that tells the story of the world's only terrevuelo commander, Antonio Martín "Michael", an Envera beneficiary and multifaceted artist whose enthusiasm for audiovisual creations has led him to become in 2018 the first photographer with intellectual disabilities to be part of the prestigious PHotoEspaña festival with his exhibition Al borde del aeropuerto (On the edge of the airport). The cineforum was held at the Casa de Vacas cultural center in El Retiro (Madrid), and was attended by the delegate of the Area of Families, Equality and Social Welfare of the Madrid City Council, Pepe Aniorte; the filmmaker Fernando Colomo; the head of corporate social responsibility (CSR) of Iberia, Alba Barrantes; the protagonist of the short film, Antonio Martín "Michael"; and its director, Jesús de Frutos.
Students with intellectual disabilities from Envera will carry out internships at the Housing Department of the Community of Madrid.

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Community of Madrid has signed an agreement with the Envera Group for the promotion of the labor insertion of people with intellectual disabilities through a training internship program, so that they can graduate from Compulsory Secondary Education. The internships will be carried out at the Regional Government's Department of Housing and Local Administration and the Social Housing Agency (AVS). During his visit to Envera Inclusion Point in the Islazul shopping center, where Envera develops this sustainable, training and job placement project, the Regional Minister of Housing and Local Administration, David Pérez, formalized the collaboration agreement with Envera, which will benefit people over 18 years of age with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities with special educational needs, who do not have the ESO diploma and are training to obtain it.
The media company Sapos y Princesas and Envera sign an agreement to promote the integration of children with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Sapos y Princesas, a media specialized in helping people committed to education through the dissemination of educational, cultural, leisure and universal values, and Envera, a non-profit organization that works for the social and labor integration of people with intellectual disabilities, have signed an agreement to promote the integration of children with intellectual disabilities through the regular publication of articles on disability and childhood as well as the dissemination of activities that promote inclusion and equal opportunities.
Award to Envera for its commitment to the social and labor insertion of people with mental illness.

The Canarian Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (ACRP) and Fundación MAPFRE Guanarteme have given recognition to Envera for the work it carries out in Gran Canaria for the training, employment and labor insertion of people with mental illness. 21 people with mental illness have obtained a job in 2019 thanks to the collaboration between Envera and ACRP in Gran Canaria.
The Housing Counselor of the Community of Madrid visits the Envera Integral Center for Disability

"Access to housing for the thousands of people with some kind of disability living in the region will be a priority for the regional government". This was stated this Friday by the Minister of Housing and Local Administration of the Community of Madrid, David Perez, in Colmenar Viejo, where he visited the Comprehensive Disability Center Envera, a non-profit organization that works for the social and labor integration of people with intellectual disabilities.
Soledad Murillo: "Fighting for equality benefits us all".

This Wednesday the Secretary of State for Equality, Soledad Murillo, has visited the Comprehensive Disability Center Envera in Colmenar Viejo to learn how this social entity, which has been working for more than 40 years for the integration of people with intellectual disabilities, commitment to equal opportunities for all people, regardless of gender and abilities. The president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, and its general director, Pedro Sobrino, have accompanied the Secretary of State on his tour of the Special Employment Center and the Occupational Center. In this way, Murillo has been able to see first hand the day to day life of Envera's workers with disabilities as well as the workshops that are carried out in the Support and Care Services to comprehensively cover the needs of all people throughout their lives.
Eleven Envera students with disabilities obtain the professional certificate after completing internships in companies.

The students of the Savia Envera Project, an initiative launched by Envera with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands and the European Union, have completed their internships in workplaces belonging to the Certificate of Professionalism in Installation and Maintenance of Gardens and Green Areas. Thanks to this official training, eleven people with disabilities have completed a total of 96 hours of training practices that have allowed them to come into contact with the business world and put into practice the knowledge acquired during the previous months.
Pullmantur Cruceros and Envera begin their collaboration to promote the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.

Pullmantur Cruceros -the only shipping company in the market that brings the Spanish lifestyle to the way of traveling on a cruise- and Envera -a non-profit organization that has been working for more than 40 years for the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities- have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and raising awareness in society.
Envera presents the modernization of its Day Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities and Severe Support Needs.

The president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, and its general manager, Pedro Sobrino, have presented the new facilities of the Day Center for People with Great Support Needs, where Envera cares for 33 people with intellectual disabilities over 65%. The aim of the Day Center is to provide rehabilitative care, personal and social habilitation, hygiene care, personal care and specialized assistance, in order to achieve the maximum development of the capabilities and possibilities of social integration of people with intellectual disabilities and high support needs.
