Envera's Board of Directors appoints Enrique Grande as new General Manager as of September 1

The Board of Directors of Envera - Asociación de Empleados de Iberia Padres de Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual, the highest governing body of this social organization, has unanimously decided to appoint Enrique Grande, until now a member of the Group's Board of Directors, as its new CEO. With this appointment, which will be effective as of September 1, Pedro Sobrino, who joined Envera after leaving Iberia, takes over, at his own request, and who has spent more than nine years at the helm of the organization's management with the aim of concluding the transformation process he initiated and making the institution a social, professional and sustainable benchmark.
ENAIRE supports with 85,000 euros Envera's projects for the labor insertion of people with intellectual disabilities.

Envera has obtained the highest score in the call for the award of subsidies 2019 promoted by ENAIRE and aimed at social entities to promote activities for the labor insertion and job creation of people with disabilities. With a grant of 85,000 euros and thanks to Envera's ENAIRE Project, 180 people with disabilities will be able to get a protected and supported employment in the next year.

Envera students in Tenerife and Gran Canaria have returned to classes after the temporary suspension of activities decreed by the Canary Employment Service on March 12 due to the situation caused by COVID-19. Envera, in coordination with the authorities, has taken all necessary measures to guarantee the safety and health of all persons, this being its priority objective.

Envera joins the stopcovid.io platform with the challenge of creating 38 jobs for people with intellectual disabilities in the midst of the social crisis resulting from the impact of the coronavirus in our country. With this project, Envera also intends to support the fight against COVID-19 by manufacturing surgical masks at its Special Employment Center in Madrid.

The impact of the health and economic crisis caused by the coronavirus is dramatic. The president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, has signed the adhesion of Envera, a non-profit organization working since 1977 to achieve the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, to the Platform Inclusive Education YES, special ALSO, which was born "at the initiative of people with disabilities, their families and teachers deeply concerned about the elimination of special education centers in the Spanish education system.
