Envera: 45 years of history with people with intellectual disabilities as protagonists

Since 1977, Envera has been helping people with intellectual disabilities to take their place in the world with dignity, assisting 4,800 people and their families every year and providing stable employment to more than 850 under the motto 'We can all be the best at something'. It has offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga and the Canary Islands, and has 300 athletes in its Club Ícaro-Envera, 250 volunteers and more than 300 public and private entities that collaborate with its social action.
Students with disabilities complete the 8th edition of the Envera Cooking Course "Cocina Formándote".

The general manager of Envera, Enrique Grande, presented the diplomas and certificates of completion of the Formándote Cooking course to the seven students of Envera's Labor Insertion Service who have completed their training as kitchen assistants.
Cocina Formándote', the Envera's cooking course

The main objective of the 'Cocina Formándote' course is to enable and train people with disabilities to perform tasks related to the hospitality sector as kitchen assistants and thus gain access to one of the most sought-after professions in the labor market. With eight editions and more than 70 students trained, this course enables students to enter a sector with great employment opportunities.
Envera's students with intellectual disabilities achieve a 100% pass rate in Secondary Education.

Students with intellectual disabilities in the Gradúate en Secundaria Program that Envera offers in Madrid have achieved a 100% pass rate in the final exams of the course that has just ended. In addition, four of them have achieved the official title of graduate in Secondary Education that gives them the possibility of access to higher education and improves their chances of finding their first job. The registration period for the 2022-2023 academic year is now open for the Secondary Education, Crece Formándote and Destination Employment programs.

The president of the Commission for Comprehensive Disability Policies of the Assembly of Madrid has visited the headquarters of Envera in the Madrid district of Barajas along with other representatives of the Popular Parliamentary Group to see firsthand the support and care services and job placement in which Envera tends each year to 4,800 people with intellectual disabilities and their families and provides stable employment to more than 800.
Iberia supports Envera's social work with a charity auction of its historic uniforms

Iberia commemorates its 95 years of history and Envera its 45th anniversary, and both organizations share history and aeronautical DNA. To commemorate this anniversary, the airline has auctioned replicas of the uniforms worn by its staff throughout its history in a charity auction, the proceeds of which have gone to the social work of Envera, an NGO created by the company's employees and parents of people with intellectual disabilities.
Students with intellectual disabilities from Envera become 'managers for a day' of Auren.

Six students with intellectual disabilities from Envera's Secondary Education and Destination Employment programs shared a day of inclusion with Auren's managers thanks to the 'Supercapacitados' program developed by the consulting firm in collaboration with Envera. Executives of the company mentored the students for a day. Envera helps companies to contribute to the SDGs and develop their CSR plans.
CSR, a key to corporate and public administration strategy

The Madrid Foro Empresarial CSR Board, coordinated by Envera, brings together the heads of sustainability of Iberia, Ferrovial and Ibercaja, in a conference on the return on investment in social responsibility, which was closed by the Minister of Transport of the Community of Madrid.
Envera, EFA Valdemilanos and CaixaBank Dualiza bring intellectual disabilities closer to Vocational Training

Thanks to this initiative, FP students of EFA Valdemilanos have joined the activities that beneficiaries and professionals Envera developed in its Comprehensive Disability Center. Meanwhile, people with intellectual disabilities and those responsible for the various support services and care Envera have visited Valdemilanos to talk to their students of the challenges they face every day to move towards equal opportunities and social and labor inclusion, with the firm conviction that "people with intellectual disabilities occupy their place in the world with dignity".
