Justice and Disability Forum awards Envera's work

The Justice and Disability Forum of the General Council of the Judiciary will present its annual awards on Wednesday, November 22, which in this tenth edition went to notary Juan Bolás Alfonso, journalist José Manuel González Huesa, the company DHL Supply Chain and the institution Envera.
ENVERA CLOSES ITS 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH AN EXCLUSIVE SCREENING OF THE MOVIE "WONDER".

Envera, an organization dedicated to the care of people with intellectual disabilities throughout their lives, will put the finishing touch to the celebration of its 40th anniversary with the exclusive screening of the film Wonder, on November 29th at the Palacio de la Prensa cinema in Madrid, thanks to the support of eOne, the film's distributor. The commemoration of these four decades of work and achievements that improve the lives of the most vulnerable has the honorary presidency of Her Majesty Queen Letizia.
The Community of Madrid and Envera sign an agreement for the realization of work practices

People with intellectual disabilities will be able to carry out training practices in dependencies of the Community of Madrid thanks to the agreement signed this Monday by the Regional Ministers of Presidency, Justice and Spokesman of the Regional Government, Ángel Garrido, and of Social Policies and Family, Carlos Izquierdo; and by Envera - Association of Employees of Iberia Parents of People with Disabilities. The purpose of the agreement, which runs until 31 December 2018 with the possibility of extending it up to four more years, is the realization of training practices of people with intellectual disabilities in order to promote their social and labor insertion.
Envera celebrates its VIII Solidarity Golf Tournament at Nuevo Club de Golf de Madrid

Envera has held for the eighth consecutive year the Solidarity Golf Tournament in order to support the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. In this edition, the championship was held at the Nuevo Club de Golf de Madrid in Las Matas and was attended by the mayor of Las Rozas, José de la Uz, his councilor of Presidency, Gustavo Adolfo Rico, the general director of Envera, Pedro Sobrino, as well as Iberia and Pedro Núñez Morgades on behalf of Envera's patrons. The sportsmen of the Club Ícaro-Envera had a special role as caddies and collaborating in the organization of the Tournament.
Company internships facilitate access to the labor market for people with disabilities

Andrés Rodríguez came to Envera with one goal in mind: to train to get his first job. On the advice of his brother Eduardo, an alumnus of this organization dedicated to the social and occupational integration of people with intellectual disabilities, Andrés joined the Semilla Project, promoted by Envera in Tenerife, as a student. During the 2015-2016 academic year, Andrés and fourteen other classmates, all of them people with disabilities, worked to obtain the two professional certificates to which this training project gives access: Auxiliary Activities in Agriculture and Auxiliary Activities in Gardens, Nurseries and Garden Centers.
Academics from Japanese universities visit Envera as a benchmark in intellectual disabilities

Envera has received the visit of professors from various universities in Japan, experts in social welfare and interested in learning about the policies and actions to support people with intellectual disabilities that are carried out in Spain. The general director of Envera, Pedro Sobrino, has received them at the headquarters of the Association in Madrid, where they have been able to learn about the work done by Envera accompanying people with disabilities from birth and throughout their lives, offering comprehensive assistance and becoming a support when it comes to social and labor insertion.
AEHCOS and Envera sign an agreement to collaborate in the integration of people with disabilities

Envera - Asociación de Empleados de Iberia Padres de Personas con Discapacidad and the Asociación de Empresarios Hoteleros de la Costa del Sol (AEHCOS) have signed an agreement to collaborate in improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and to promote their social and labor insertion. This was stated by the President of AEHCOS, Luis Callejón, and the General Manager of Envera, Pedro Sobrino, during a ceremony that took place at the headquarters of AEHCOS in the town of Torremolinos, Malaga, in which both expressed their commitment to promote social actions that favor the inclusion of people with functional diversity.

Madrid Abierta holds its first meeting with Envera, Ibercaja and Iberia

On July 6, the Madrid headquarters of Iberia hosted the I Encuentro Madrid Abierta, an initiative promoted by Ibercaja Obra Social that counted in its first edition with Envera to talk about "labor integration of the different as a tool for balanced growth of the city". In addition, Javier Gómez Matallanas, spokesman for FUNDELA, and Consuelo Durán, director of Durán Arte y Subastas, also participated. And, as recognized by the promoter of Madrid Abierta, José Francisco García, who is also director of the City Lab of the European Institute of Design (IED), "we will develop a series of meetings to disseminate the values of Madrid as an open, tolerant, inclusive and welcoming city".
