Francisco José got a job thanks to the support of Envera and the Incorpora Program of the Obra Social "la Caixa" Foundation, which is now in its 10th year. Francisco José Pacheco is one of those people who has carved out his own present and, possibly, his future. Perhaps his greatest achievement has been to do so by breaking down the barriers and prejudices that often accompany people with intellectual disabilities. Since his arrival at Envera in 2005, his main aspiration has been to train to get a job, demonstrating that with the necessary support we can all become the best at something.

Juan Manuel Gómez, Director of Radio Sol, has presented Envera's President, José Antonio Quintero, with a check for 13,000 euros representing the solidarity box office of the XVII Gran Gala de Zarzuela de Año Nuevo, organized by the Madrid radio station and the Fundación Sinfolírica, which managed to fill the Auditorio Nacional last January, in favor of Envera.

The Ombudsman, Soledad Becerril, visited this Wednesday the Comprehensive Center for Disability Care that Envera has in the town of Colmenar Viejo, Madrid. Upon her arrival, the Ombudsman was received by José Antonio Quintero, President of Envera, and Marta Muñoz, head of the Tutelar Foundation.

Soledad Becerril has been very interested in the work done by employees with intellectual disabilities Special Employment Center, who explained the tasks they perform in document management, laundry and handling.

Envera, an Association that was born 40 years ago with the mission of accompanying people with disabilities throughout their life cycle, celebrates the anniversary of its founding by recognizing the most influential people and entities for their commitment to inclusion and improving the quality of life of people with functional diversity.

With these awards, grouped into ten categories, Envera has sought to highlight the personal, professional or corporate work of the winners in favor of social and labor integration, equal opportunities and contributing to building a society of which we can all feel proud.

The Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid hosted, with a full house, the XVII Gran Gala de Zarzuela de Año Nuevo, an important event that unites music and solidarity, organized every year by Radio Sol XXI and the Fundación Sinfolírica and that in this edition was held for the benefit of Envera and its projects aimed at improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities, assisting and accompanying them throughout their lives.

This Wednesday Carlos Lesmes, President of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and the Supreme Court, visited the Comprehensive Center for Disability Care of Envera - Association of Employees of Iberia Parents of People with Disabilities in the Madrid town of Colmenar Viejo.

Upon his arrival, Lesmes was welcomed by José Antonio Quintero, president of Envera, and by its general director, Pedro Sobrino, who accompanied him during his visit together with the head of the Tutelar Foundation, Marta Muñoz.

Today, Madrid Foro Empresarial has signed agreements with FAMMA - Cocemfe Madrid (Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of the Community of Madrid) and Envera (Association of Iberia Employees Parents of People with Disabilities) to regulate their collaboration in the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual and physical disabilities through actions aimed at facilitating accessibility to care, functions and services provided by the member companies of Madrid Foro Empresarial, as well as to advance in terms of awareness, for the promotion and social normalization as well as the labor integration of people with intellectual and physical disabilities.

For the seventh consecutive year, Envera has organized a new edition of the Solidarity Golf Tournament, an event that unites sport and solidarity, and which this year took place in two of the Organization's headquarters: Madrid and the Canary Islands. Although at first it was also intended to be held in Malaga, the unfavorable weather forecast forced the event to be suspended.

On the occasion of the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Envera and the Military Emergency Unit (UME) have presented this Monday the Solidarity Calendar 2017 in an event chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, Luis Martinez-Sicluna, and that has been held in the auditorium of the Government Delegation in Madrid. In addition to the Subdelegado, during the presentation of the almanac starring people with intellectual disabilities served by Envera throughout their life cycle, have intervened the president of this NGO, José Antonio Quintero; and Lieutenant General Chief of the UME, Miguel Alcañiz. Three students of Secondary Education in Envera have told their experience with the UME during the realization of the Calendar.

For the second consecutive year, students from Envera's Professional Programs and Secondary Education attended the award ceremony of the Justice and Disability Forum Awards, organized by the General Council of the Judiciary.

Upon their arrival at the CGPJ headquarters, the students were received in the plenary hall by the President of the Supreme Court, Carlos Lesmes, who explained the functions of the Council and the work carried out by the judges of the High Court.
