Two Envera athletes will participate, along with other runners with intellectual disabilities, in a relay test that will allow them to complete the 42 kilometers of the Popular Marathon of Madrid, for the first time in its history, will feature this test 'DisFriendly' in one of the most important sporting events in the capital. This was announced at the official presentation of the Zurich RNR Running Series Madrid at the headquarters of the Madrid City Council with Mayor Martínez-Almeida, Deputy Mayor Villacís, the Deputy Minister of Sports of the Community of Madrid, MAPOMA, Zurich, Coca-Cola and Envera, among other entities.

Envera cooperates with the leading Ukrainian intellectual disability NGO. Marina Grigorieva, coordinator of Vinnitsya Down Syndrome, tells Envera about the desperate situation that many families with people with intellectual disabilities have been enduring since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began more than a month ago.

Envera has made available to the Community of Madrid several places for the care of Ukrainian refugees with disabilities in its Early Care and Neurodevelopmental Center for Children and Adolescents as well as in its Occupational Center where it regularly serves more than 200 children and 50 adults with intellectual disabilities.

Envera's Labor Insertion Service has managed to employ 63 people with disabilities thanks to the support of ENAIRE, which finances, through its Call 2021 of subsidies for social entities, one of the most important employment projects carried out by Envera. Besides, 23 of these insertions have been carried out in companies of the aeronautical sector.

The president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, attended yesterday the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Iberia Express and congratulated the company's president, Carlos Gómez, "for these ten years of history as part of the great aeronautical family of which we share DNA". Quintero assured that the event "has been as exciting as this decade of stories together, also marked by the commitment and social responsibility of which Iberia Express is an example for all".

Envera has trained 90 people with disabilities, 12 of whom have found employment thanks to the training and job placement projects that the social entity provides free of charge in Gran Canaria in collaboration with the Canary Islands Employment Service. Moreover, the students have rated these courses very positively with an average score of 4.3 out of 5 in the questionnaires carried out at the end of their training.

The Spanish Society of Pediatric Palliative Care is organizing this week its V Congress PEDPAL Madrid 2022 and Envera is participating in the pre-congress with the contributions of the professionals of its Early Intervention and Neurodevelopment Service, a reference center in the Community of Madrid.

The general manager of Envera, Enrique Grande, presented the diplomas and certificates of completion of the Formándote Cooking course to the ten students of Envera's Labor Insertion Service who have completed their training as kitchen assistants.

"Life is not easy for anyone. But so what! You have to persevere and, above all, have confidence in yourself. You have to feel gifted to do something, and you have to achieve it, whatever the cost". This reflection by the great Marie Curie, an exceptional role model on this special day dedicated to working women, is my inspiration and also teaches us what Envera's motto has been shouting for 45 years: "We can all be the best at something", regardless of our gender or our physical, sensory or intellectual characteristics.
