Envera and Iberia launch a social project for the recovery and recycling of uniforms

Envera and Iberia have launched the pioneering MOTOR Y AL AIRE project for the recovery and recycling of airline uniforms, with which both organizations are at the forefront of sustainability, generate employment for people with disabilities and contribute to 11 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Aena awards Envera for its waste recycling service at Malaga Airport

On Wednesday, Aena presented its VI Award for Environmental Management of Companies at Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport, in the Supplier Category, to Envera for its waste management service at the airport, which is carried out by 24 professionals with disabilities and which has treated more than 11.5 million kilos in the last 5 years, pandemic by pandemic.

Solidarity walk for Ukraine: Envera and CEIP Fuentesanta raise more than 6,000 euros for people with intellectual disabilities

Envera and the Fuentesanta School of Colmenar Viejo have organized a solidarity march in favor of people with intellectual disabilities who live trapped in Ukraine because of the war. The sporting event, which has had the collaboration of the City Council colmenareño and in which athletes have participated, students and professionals from both organizations, has managed to raise more than 6.000 euros to be sent to the main Ukrainian NGO to help the disability with which Envera collaborates since the beginning of the invasion by Russia.

The Community of Madrid recognizes four students with intellectual disabilities from Envera who have completed internships at the Department of Transportation.

David Pérez has announced new internships for Envera students at the Coslada Transportation Center and at the Community's interchanges.

With this type of initiatives, and despite being a finalist NGO, Envera has become a rara avis that, thanks to networking and its Solidarity Recycling Center managed by professionals with disabilities, has managed to help thousands of vulnerable people both inside and outside Spain. This allows Envera and the companies that support its social work to contribute directly to the achievement of eleven SDGs of the UN's 2030 Agenda.

Radio Terrícola at the Spanish Championship of Adapted Athletics

Envera's on-line radio station covers the first sports day from the Vallehermoso Stadium with interviews to the Sports Delegate of the Madrid City Council, athletes and clubs on the occasion of the Spanish Adapted Athletics Championship organized by FEDDI and FEMADDI, in which more than 250 athletes are participating.

The Community of Madrid awards their diplomas to the first people with intellectual disabilities from Envera who have finished their internships in Metro de Madrid.

Sonsoles and Juan Felipe have become the first people with intellectual disabilities to do an internship in the Madrid underground. The Regional Minister of Transport of the Community of Madrid, the Chief Executive of Metro de Madrid and the General Manager of Envera today presented their diplomas to two students with intellectual disabilities from Envera after completing their internships in Metro de Madrid's Logistics and Occupational Health Services from last February to date.

Workers' Day: Envera and ENAIRE employ 275 people with disabilities, 90 of them in the aviation sector

On the occasion of the International Workers' Day, Envera and ENAIRE take stock of the job placements of people with disabilities achieved thanks to the collaboration between both entities. Since the beginning of the ENAIRE Project in 2020, which is being continued with a second edition, more than 275 people with disabilities have got a job, 90 of them in companies of the aeronautical sector, such as Iberia, Iberia Express, Airbus, Vueling, Farsound, AENA or Envera itself.

Envera and Volunteers for Africa collaborate to send humanitarian aid to Ethiopia

The close collaboration between the NGOs Envera and Volunteers for Africa has made possible a new shipment of humanitarian aid to the Ethiopian villages of Chitu and Awaro, located in the town of Ambo. This initiative, with the collaboration of Envera's Solidarity Recycling Center, joins other shipments made jointly in recent years.

Companies find "strategic opportunity" in hiring people with disabilities

Envera participates in the I Insular Day of Social and Labor Insertion of People with Disabilities in Gran Canaria, which will take place on April 27 and is organized by the Cabildo and the City Council of Arucas. The general manager of Envera states that "the hiring of people with disabilities, besides being an obligation included in the General Law on Disability, has become a strategic opportunity for many companies that have found in professionals with disabilities not only the best candidates, but also a way to develop their CSR plans, improve their reputation and the experience of their customers, increase the feeling of belonging among their employees and reduce absenteeism, among other aspects that make them more competitive".
