Chelo García González, a computer engineer, is the mother of Cris, a young woman at the Envera Occupational Center in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid), and also a volunteer in our organization. Her story, and that of her daughter, is the story of so many men and women with intellectual disabilities and their families who, almost invisible, must face one of the greatest challenges of their lives. This Wednesday, Envera's general manager, Enrique Grande, signed the adhesion, for the eighth consecutive year, to the Incorpora Program of the "la Caixa" Foundation. Throughout 2021, thanks to the participation in this initiative, Envera's Labor Insertion Service assisted 132 people with disabilities, 75 of whom got a job despite the socioeconomic difficulties caused by the pandemic.
Representatives of Grupo Discrecional G-18, which includes the companies SAMAR, ALSA-Maitours, Nájera, Juliá, Vera and Grupo Ruiz, have visited the Envera Building to see the new facilities of the Early Intervention Center, one of the support and care services to which they have contributed since the start of their collaboration with Envera in 2017
Envera, through its Solidarity Recycling Center, has donated basic necessities and medicines to the Atenea Foundation for the Housing Led project for homeless people of the Area of Families, Equality and Social Welfare of the Madrid City Council.
Envera has made its program Tour Disfriendly live from the stand of Radio Viajera (10B01) in Fitur with which claims the importance of promoting a friendly tourism with all travelers, especially with those who have a disability, and points out the importance of serving these tourists who "always travel accompanied" and "usually do so throughout the year", as a competitive element for the sector.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia greeted the people with disabilities from Envera during the official opening of Fitur and congratulated the non-profit organization for the social work it has been carrying out since its birth in 1977, within the Iberia company, with the aim of helping people with intellectual disabilities to take their place in the world with dignity.

The Christmas campaign has brought new employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in the labor insertion group of Envera's Occupational Center in Colmenar Viejo. Thanks to the expansion of the high quality manipulation services that Envera offers to companies, seven young people have obtained a job, being for most of them their first contact with the working world.
Envera has FREE specific training programs for people with disabilities to improve their opportunities. A good example of this is that so far this year alone, seven students with disabilities have already found employment thanks to Envera and the companies that support its social mission.
The Councillor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare of the Madrid City Council, José Aniorte, visited this Friday the headquarters of Envera to see first hand the support and care services and job placement that Envera offers to people with intellectual disabilities through its Early Care and Neurodevelopmental Center, Training and Occupational Center with Residence.
