Last Friday, November 6, representatives of the Institute of Social and Socio-sanitary Care (IASS), an autonomous body of the Island Council of Tenerife, and representatives of Grupo Envera held a meeting to discuss the services provided by the association.

The general director of the Montemadrid Foundation, José Guirao, and its director of social and educational programs, Cristóbal Sánchez, visited Envera's facilities in the Community of Madrid.

The Montemadrid Foundation has long been one of Envera's main collaborators and its representatives had the opportunity to see first-hand the work carried out at the Group's headquarters in the capital, as well as the training classrooms of the Professional and Adult Education Program, the early care unit and the special employment center.

Students of the Professional and Adult Education Program of the Envera Group's training center in Madrid visited, together with their teachers, the seat of the Congress of Deputies. The visit ended at the Plaza Mayor.

The Envera Group, which has been working for more than 38 years for the social and labor insertion of people with disabilities, today paid an emotional tribute to Jesús Marañón, a worker at the Special Employment Center in Trespaderne, who retired after 25 years of service.

The City Council of Colmenar Viejo has given three people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to perform their training practices in the Senior Center and the Department of Social Services of the town.

The project "Radio Terrícola, the radio that unites us" (radioterricola.com) has been chosen among 297 applications from 12 different countries. The jury, chaired by José Luis Fernández, Professor of Ethics at Comillas Pontifical University, valued the social impact of this initiative.

Linked to the world of performing arts and passionate about dance, she is studying the 2nd level of Secondary Education, after having successfully passed her qualification as Administrative Assistant. With this opportunity she aspires to fulfill the dream of her life.

The IT security solutions technology company Unisys has joined the Board of Trustees of the Envera Foundation. The signing ceremony was attended by the president of Unisys, Ana Rubio, the president of envera, José Antonio Quintero, as well as its general director, Pedro Sobrino. Unisys joins IBERIA, AENA and EADS as sponsors of envera.
