Justice and Disability Forum awards Envera's work

The Justice and Disability Forum of the General Council of the Judiciary will present its annual awards on Wednesday, November 22, which in this tenth edition went to notary Juan Bolás Alfonso, journalist José Manuel González Huesa, the company DHL Supply Chain and the institution Envera.

ENVERA CLOSES ITS 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH AN EXCLUSIVE SCREENING OF THE MOVIE "WONDER".

Envera, an organization dedicated to the care of people with intellectual disabilities throughout their lives, will put the finishing touch to the celebration of its 40th anniversary with the exclusive screening of the film Wonder, on November 29th at the Palacio de la Prensa cinema in Madrid, thanks to the support of eOne, the film's distributor.

The commemoration of these four decades of work and achievements that improve the lives of the most vulnerable has the honorary presidency of Her Majesty Queen Letizia.

Academics from Japanese universities visit Envera as a benchmark in intellectual disabilities

Envera has received the visit of professors from various universities in Japan, experts in social welfare and interested in learning about the policies and actions to support people with intellectual disabilities that are carried out in Spain.

Envera's general director, Pedro Sobrino, received them at the Association's headquarters in Madrid, where they were able to learn about the work Envera carries out accompanying people with disabilities from birth and throughout their lives, offering comprehensive assistance and becoming a support when it comes to social and labor insertion.

AEHCOS and Envera sign an agreement to collaborate in the integration of people with disabilities

Envera - Asociación de Empleados de Iberia Padres de Personas con Discapacidad and the Asociación de Empresarios Hoteleros de la Costa del Sol (AEHCOS) have signed an agreement to collaborate in improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and to promote their social and labor insertion.

This was stated by the President of AEHCOS, Luis Callejón, and the General Director of Envera, Pedro Sobrino, during an event that took place at the headquarters of AEHCOS in the town of Torremolinos, Malaga, in which both expressed their commitment to promote social actions that favor the inclusion of people with functional diversity.

Madrid Abierta holds its first meeting with Envera, Ibercaja and Iberia

On July 6, the Madrid headquarters of Iberia hosted the I Encuentro Madrid Abierta, an initiative promoted by Ibercaja Obra Social that counted in its first edition with Envera to talk about "labor integration of the different as a tool for balanced growth of the city". In addition, Javier Gómez Matallanas, spokesman for FUNDELA, and Consuelo Durán, director of Durán Arte y Subastas, also participated.

As the promoter of Madrid Abierta, José Francisco García, who is also director of the City Lab of the European Institute of Design (IED), acknowledges, "we are going to develop a series of meetings to disseminate the values of Madrid as an open, tolerant, inclusive and welcoming city".

Envera joins the Company Games to promote healthy habits among employees

Envera, as an organization that is not only responsible for people with intellectual disabilities but for society as a whole, wanted to join The Company Games at the initiative of the Human Resources Department and the Sports Service.

During the weeks of the Games, a total of 25 employees and beneficiaries of various Envera services (Special Employment Center, Early Childhood Care, Occupational Center, Sports, Residence for the Elderly and Commercial Department) have participated in up to eight sports, winning a total of seven medals.

We celebrate 40 years of social conquests with a big party

Envera has celebrated four decades as an Association with a big party at the Integral Disability Center in Colmenar Viejo in which employees, beneficiaries of the different support and care services and their families as well as very special guests participated. A 40th anniversary, under the Honorary Presidency of Her Majesty Queen Doña Letizia and the motto Todos podemos ser los mejores en algo, which is a dream come true for those pioneer parents, employees of Iberia, and a spur to go further and higher at the side of boys and girls, men and women with disabilities, our influential people.

Training, key to the labor market insertion of people with disabilities

When Beatriz and Jennifer arrived in early 2016 at the Envera delegation in Las Palmas, interested in the opportunities offered by this entity specialized in the socio-labor insertion of people with disabilities, they did not imagine what they would be able to achieve months later.

From the outset, both young women, aged 25 and 23 respectively, received personalized career guidance in line with their personal aspirations. After professional counseling, they decided to take the first step to begin a new stage, based on training, which would allow them to achieve the goals they had set for themselves.

Envera participates in the "4º ESO + Company" program of the Community of Madrid.

Through this initiative, students in the fourth year of ESO can voluntarily spend between three and five school days at public or private organizations to learn first-hand about the activities carried out by the professionals who work there.

Envera wanted to join the 4th ESO+Enterprise project in collaboration with the Raimundo Lulio School and the Nuestra Señora de las Nieves School, hosting for three days two students, Raquel and Elena, from the former, and a student, Alberto, from the latter.
