Radio Terrícola starts broadcasting from Madrid with an interview with Iberia's president

During the inaugural program last Friday, Envera's reporters had the opportunity to greet the president of Iberia, Javier Sanchez-Prieto, before the inauguration of the Iberia Kindergarten at the Envera Early Care Center. The head of the airline thus became the first interviewee in this new Radio Terrícola station which, together with Iberia, will continue to take inclusion higher and further through its borderless airwaves. This is the second site of Envera's digital radio, which is seven years old, after the studios in Colmenar Viejo and the Canary Islands.

The president of Iberia, Javier Sánchez-Prieto, and the president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, inaugurated this Friday the Iberia Children's Garden, an accessible and innovative playground that is already being enjoyed by the nearly 200 children and their families who are cared for by the Early Care and Neurodevelopment Service that Envera offers at its Madrid headquarters. With this center of reference in the Community of Madrid, Envera begins its mission to accompany people with intellectual disabilities throughout their life cycle, from birth to their last days, offering them not only early care, but also training, occupational centers, employment, sports, residences and a Guardianship Foundation that becomes their family when they disappear.

Young women and women with disabilities break down prejudices through employment

Access to employment for women with disabilities is a priority for social organizations such as Envera, which through its Job Placement Service trains, prepares and guides future workers so that they can enter the labor market. A challenge that is often not easy due to the prejudices that still weigh on disability, especially intellectual disabilities.

In fact, with this sheltered and supported employment, Envera's technicians point out that "not only is it possible to reduce inequality between men and women with and without disabilities, but also to break down stereotypes to promote equal opportunities for all people".

Employment training: ten people with disabilities complete the Envera Cooking Course

Ten people with intellectual disabilities from Envera's Labor Insertion Service received their diplomas this Wednesday, certifying their training as kitchen assistants after having passed the course that Envera organizes for them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to improve their chances of accessing the labor market.

Ninety people with disabilities get a job thanks to Envera's ENAIRE project

Close to a hundred people with disabilities have been employed since last July, thanks to the call for the granting of subsidies promoted by ENAIRE, in which Envera's project obtained the highest score.

ENAIRE is thus positioned as an exemplary entity in the public sector for the labor inclusion of people with disabilities, contributing to equal opportunities and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the firm commitment that no one is left behind.

Envera will participate this Wednesday, February 10 at the Zero Project Conference held at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in Vienna, which annually recognizes the most impactful disability inclusion projects from around the world.

In this edition of the Conference, which due to the current situation will be held virtually, "Envera Inclusion Point" will be presented, a pioneering project in Europe that is celebrating its fifth year as a benchmark in labor insertion and visibility of people with disabilities in shopping centers.

The Tutelar Envera Foundation grants scholarships to 17 people with intellectual disabilities to improve their quality of life.

The Tutelar Envera Foundation's mission is to watch over the rights and interests of people with intellectual disabilities when their family disappears or when they are in a situation of neglect. Since its creation in , and under the direction of the Board of Trustees - formed by Iberia, Airbus, Unisys and the president of Madrid Foro Empresarial, Hilario Alfaro - the Tutelar Envera Foundation provides answers to the big question of families: What will become of our child with a disability when we are gone? In 2020, the entity granted a total of seventeen scholarships for children, young people and adults with disabilities with the aim of ensuring that no one is left behind, especially in the face of the economic and social crisis we are experiencing.
