Soledad Murillo: "Fighting for equality benefits us all".

This Wednesday the Secretary of State for Equality, Soledad Murillo, has visited the Comprehensive Disability Center Envera in Colmenar Viejo to learn how this social entity, which has been working for more than 40 years for the integration of people with intellectual disabilities, commitment to equal opportunities for all people, regardless of gender and abilities.

The president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, and its general manager, Pedro Sobrino, accompanied the Secretary of State on her tour of the Special Employment Center and the Occupational Center. In this way, Murillo has been able to see first hand the daily life of Envera's workers with disabilities as well as the workshops that are carried out in the Support and Care Services to comprehensively cover the needs of all people throughout their lives.

Eleven Envera students with disabilities obtain the professional certificate after completing internships in companies.

The students of the Savia Envera Project, an initiative launched by Envera with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands and the European Union, have completed their internships in workplaces belonging to the Certificate of Professionalism in Installation and Maintenance of Gardens and Green Areas.

Thanks to this official training, eleven people with disabilities have completed a total of 96 hours of training internships that have allowed them to come into contact with the business world and put into practice the knowledge acquired during the previous months.

Envera presents the modernization of its Day Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities and Severe Support Needs.

The president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, and its general manager, Pedro Sobrino, have presented the new facilities of the Day Center for People with Great Support Needs, where Envera cares for 33 people with intellectual disabilities over 65%.

The objective of the Day Center is to provide rehabilitative care, personal and social habilitation, hygiene care, personal care and specialized assistance, in order to achieve the maximum development of the abilities and possibilities of social integration of people with intellectual disabilities and high support needs.

Envera receives the National Award for Excellence in Inclusion and Occupational Risk Prevention

The Alares Foundation has recognized the social work of Envera with the National Award for Excellence in Inclusion and Occupational Risk Prevention for People with Disabilities in the category of Special Employment Center at a gala presided over by the Minister of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Welfare, María Luisa Carcedo.
