On November 6, the Municipal Plenary of the Town Council of Colmenar Viejo unanimously adopted the award of the Medal of the Town in the gold category to Grupo Envera - APMIB "in recognition of the work it has done over the years for the social and labor integration of people with disabilities".

This Sunday, November 22, on the occasion of Colmenar Viejo Day, the president of Envera, its general manager and several of its members were invited to the Consistory headquarters to participate in the institutional acts and receive the award from the mayor.

On November 18 and 19, Pavilion 2 of the IFEMA fairgrounds in Madrid once again hosted the 9th edition of the Employment and Disability Fair with the aim of bringing together employers and people with disabilities seeking employment to facilitate their integration, as well as to raise awareness in society and activate labor participation.

For the ninth consecutive year, we set up the Envera stand so that visitors could get to know us closely. In the 2014 edition, a total of 1,343 resumes were received in person and through the form on the official website of the fair. It is expected that this year the number of resumes collected will be similar.

Iberia, our main patron and with whom we have a special relationship, celebrated last Sunday the 25th anniversary of Hangar 6, a space located in La Muñoza (Madrid) specially designed to provide shelter for aircraft to be repaired and which, with a surface area of twenty thousand square meters, is completely open-plan.

The aeronautical company wanted to take advantage of the occasion to organize a solidarity race in favor of Grupo Envera - APMIB and the Fundación mano a mano, in which Iberia employees, families and friends participated.

The visit of Juan Manuel Moreno (PP-A) coincides with the dangerous situation in which the center finds itself due to the non-payment of twelve million euros by the Junta de Andalucía. This amount, which should have been destined since 2014 to Malaga organizations dedicated to the labor insertion of people with disabilities, puts at risk more than 2,500 jobs.

Alfonso Candón, deputy for Cádiz and local president of the Partido Popular in Puerto de Santa María, is also a member of the Commission for Comprehensive Disability Policies of the Congress of Deputies.

Last Friday, November 6, representatives of the Institute of Social and Socio-sanitary Care (IASS), an autonomous body of the Island Council of Tenerife, and representatives of Grupo Envera held a meeting to discuss the services provided by the association.

The general director of the Montemadrid Foundation, José Guirao, and its director of social and educational programs, Cristóbal Sánchez, visited Envera's facilities in the Community of Madrid.

The Montemadrid Foundation has long been one of Envera's main collaborators and its representatives had the opportunity to see first-hand the work carried out at the Group's headquarters in the capital, as well as the training classrooms of the Professional and Adult Education Program, the early care unit and the special employment center.

Students of the Professional and Adult Education Program of the Envera Group's training center in Madrid visited, together with their teachers, the seat of the Congress of Deputies. The visit ended at the Plaza Mayor.

The Envera Group, which has been working for more than 38 years for the social and labor insertion of people with disabilities, today paid an emotional tribute to Jesús Marañón, a worker at the Special Employment Center in Trespaderne, who retired after 25 years of service.

The City Council of Colmenar Viejo has given three people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to perform their training practices in the Senior Center and the Department of Social Services of the town.
